Introduction : Aesops Fables

In this semester we are to produce an animation for a children's TV channel called Funstar. The animation is to be based on Aesops Fables, a series of tales and short stories which illustrate a particular moral and teach a lesson to children. As the animations are aimed at children I think they will need to be entertaining all the way through and have an element of fun and humour in them. I have chosen three fables that I like the sound of.

Initial ideas:

1, The Old Man and Death

-The animation of the mans painful back could look interesting.
-Background could be used as it is set outside in the countryside. Maybe a sunset?
-Scary Death character will be a fun to design.

2,The Man and the Serpent

-Could be made into a Comedy story. Boy steps on a snake, snake then bites the boy, then the farmer attacks snake, then snake attacks the farmers cattle.
-Snake might be easy to model.
-Not the greatest moral.

3,The Man and the Wooden God

-I could animate the man having something on each day of the week going wrong.(Bad week)
-One day he takes it out on his little god that he prays to.
-In a fit of rage it breaks the wooden god relieving a lot of coins.
-He is now a happy chappy!
